Target Areas when Spring Cleaning your Home – Top Tips

As the weather is getting warmer, we are all faced with the annual task of spring cleaning our homes. A proper clean of our homes can transform our living space, getting rid of any metaphorical and physical cobwebs, leaving us feeling happier and looking forward to enjoying a great British summer.

With Bank Holidays approaching, now is the perfect time to get to grips with the housework and do some proper spring cleaning. With that in mind, we’ve come up with some target cleaning areas that can help get your house feeling fresh and new.

    In the Bathroom

You may keep your bathroom in pristine condition, or you may end up turning a blind eye to the hair in the plughole, or the spilt shampoo in the shower. Whichever kind of bathroom person you are, use your spring cleaning as a time to return to showroom standards. Make sure that bathroom scum and lime scale is removed from bathtubs, showers, and sinks by using an effective but gentle cleaner so as not to damage any fixtures.

Clear plugholes by removing any visible blockages, and then pour some plughole unblocker to get rid of any soapy build-up that is further down the pipes.

    In the Kitchen

Target areas in the kitchen often require a lot of elbow grease. The build-up of dirt on your hob, or in your oven should be tackled regularly, but take your spring clean as a time to get them sparkling. Make use of products that will make your clean easier, like Oven Pride, so that you don’t get fed up and end up doing half a job! Make sure that you wipe along the tops of all cupboards to remove any sticky residue build-up.

Also, use this time to get rid of any old or broken kitchen utensils, crockery, and cutlery that you no longer use. Clearing out space in your kitchen cupboards can free up space, helping to solve any storage issues you may have.

    In the Garden

Now the sun is shining and spring is here, make some time to get out in the garden and get it sorted in time for summer. Pulling up weeds, and recoating decking and patio furniture can help you create your own little paradise in your own back garden. For complete garden overhauls, you may find that you require some professional help.

During your spring cleaning sessions, you may unfortunately discover areas that are in need of work or repair. If you find that you are looking to find a tradesperson recommended in Bristol to help you fix problems in your home, then why not check out our trusted tradespeople and request a quote.
